When I order a meal, it shows me the unsubsidized price. Why should I get a subsidized meal?!

The price is valid for any additional meals ordered. The price at which the order was made was seen before the order. You can check it in the order overview.
There is a "Can't Order" button next to the food. Why is that?

Why the food cannot be ordered is written right below the orders. There are three possibilities: a) you don't have sufficient account balance; b) the order limit for the food has been reached; c) the order has been terminated.
I don't see no-order meals in online ordering.

The online food ordering is for ordering meals and it is therefore illogical that there should be no-order meals. All meals can be viewed before checking in.
The new online ordering doesn't work for me, I get a message that I don't have a suitable browser.

The system does not work with some older browsers. Please make sure to upgrade to a newer version.
After entering my online ordering information, I get an incorrect identification message.

You are entering an incorrect username or password, or you have not been granted access (or your password has been cancelled), or your password has been changed. JU administrators log in with their IdM credentials. Other boarders can have a username and password generated at the canteen ticket office.
I am not satisfied with the quality or quantity of the food, where can I turn?

All complaints can be made to the chef who issues your food, she is responsible for it.
Can I pay cashless for food?

Yes, through collections. How to do it can be found here. Payment by credit card is also possible.
On the scanner it reads: "Not Ordered" even though I definitely ordered and the system even charged me money. How is that possible?

You probably ordered to another outlet. The easiest way to find out where your order is placed is at the ordering point (touch screen or online). Please pay attention to which cafeteria you are ordering from. It is not possible to order from another cafeteria, as your food is not physically located there.
In the menu and in the ordering, the dishes are marked as BLP, D4 and D9. What does this mean and can I order them?

This is a dietary diet. Anyone can order them, but they are intended for people requiring a certain diet. You can find out more about dietary meals here.

Internet connection at dormitories

The operation of the network, its organization and administration, connection conditions and sanctions are governed by the Administration Organization and principles for the use of the student dormitory computer network, which every user of the network undertakes to comply with, as well as by the JU Rector's Measure on the Use of Computers, Computer Networks and Software at the University of South Bohemia . In all dormitories it is possible to connect with a cable. University Wi-Fi is also available on the K1 and K5 dormitories from the ground floor to the 3rd floor.

Prerequisites for a cable connection

Accommodated in JU dormitories (signed contract).
Your own technical equipment equipped with a suitable network card and cable.

How to connect

Plug the device you want to connect in your room into the data socket in your room.
Log in to the ISKAM application at the web address koleje.jcu.cz
In the Accommodation tab, submit a Request for Internet - fill in the form according to the instructions.
Your request will be processed within 20 minutes, after which you need to restart your device.

Prerequisites for connecting to Wi-Fi (only dormitory K1, K4 and K5 ground floor to 3rd floor)

Student or employee of JU.
Your own technical equipment equipped with a suitable Wi-Fi adapter.

How to connect

On any device connected to the university network, log into the iDM system and set a password for FreeRadius.
Search for the Eduroam Wi-Fi network and connect using the set data.

Accommodation for public

University services

We offer the public, especially in the summer months, free hostel accommodation for the tourist industry. Due to the large accommodation capacity, the accommodation here is especially suitable for events with a large number of participants. But individuals or groups are also welcome.

The standard equipment of all dormitory rooms includes refrigerators, unequipped kitchens, washing machines and dryers are available in the dormitory. It is possible to borrow a dryer, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, baking tray...

About dormitories of USB

We offer students different types of accommodation, with their own sanitary facilities, shared sanitary facilities or a cell system. The accommodation capacity of KaM JU consists of four buildings K1 to K4 in the university campus in Čtyři Dvory and dormitory K5 on the left bank of the Vltava on the edge of the Vltava housing estate. The total capacity of the dormitories is 1,967 beds and during the academic year it is fully used to accommodate university students. The standard equipment of all dormitory rooms includes refrigerators, unequipped kitchens, washing machines and dryers are available to students in the dormitory. It is possible to borrow a dryer, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, baking tray... Possibility of student internet connection.
