Payments for meals

The USB refectory allows you to pay cash at the cash registers and cashless in several ways:

1. Direct debit from the bank

In the bank, enter the direct debit authorization for account 171927476/0300. Each boarder who will use this service hereby gives his/her consent for his/her social security number to be used as a variable symbol for identification during payments. Other optional permit parameters: max. limit see below, variable symbol Your birth number without a slash, maturity period from the 14th to the 21st, day of the month, validity period unlimited.
Submit the completed form to the canteen cashier (available there). However, the determined maximum amount of the basic deposit must be in accordance with the limit for allowing direct debit (less than or equal to).
The canteen once a month (always on the 15th of the month after the payday) the system evaluates the actual status of your account and compares it with the so-called basic deposit, the amount of which you report at the canteen cash desk (if you only go to lunch, for example, but regularly, we recommend with with regard to a sufficient reserve, this deposit is at least CZK 1,000). This difference represents the amount of money you spent in the last period, and by this amount your account in the currency exchange will be automatically increased again within a few days to the amount of the basic deposit from your bank via direct debit. If the difference is less than the minimum amount set by you, which you will also agree on at the cash desk of the canteen (CZK 100 recommended), collection will not be carried out. In this way, you will be guaranteed that on approximately every 20th day of the month, your basic deposit in the canteen will be restored to the original amount. In case of suspension or termination, request cancellation of direct debit from the bank.
Payment orders and standing orders can only be used if you set the variable symbol correctly, know the amount to be sent and send it between the 5th and 20th of the month. Badly sent payments may not be accepted!

2. Credit card

From January 1, 2018, it is possible to deposit funds into your account in the canteen not only in cash, but also with a bank payment card, namely in the main office of the canteen building, theological faculty, K5 dormitory, USB Café and Café AL (academic library).

Payroll deduction

Since December 2017, JU employees can request a deduction from wages for meals at the canteen main office. It is necessary to bring the Agreement on deductions from the salary from the personnel department of the relevant faculty.

Transfer from IPS

Funds from IPS must first be transferred to the catering system either after logging in on the website menza.jcu.cz or by requesting a transfer at any JU canteen cash desk.

Direct debit from IPS

Collection from IPS is done daily. We recommend that you set a limit so that, with a reserve, it is enough to cover canteen payments in one day.
Example: Set the minimum and maximum amount to, for example, CZK 100. In the catering system, you will always have CZK 100 in your account, after taking the food, it will be topped up to CZK 100 again by the next day.
The second option is to set limits corresponding to a longer period, similar to a direct debit from a bank. Note: It is not possible to set up direct debit from the bank and direct debit from IPS at the same time. If you have set up direct debit from the bank, setting up direct debit from IPS will cancel this setting!
